Meghan and Vincent’s Fairy-tale Wedding at Strong Mansion, DC

Meghan and Vincent kicked off their DC wedding festivities at Strong Mansion. Their whirlwind romance and wedding ceremony was nothing short of a fairy tale and we are blown away by the details of their big day.
Meghan’s bridesmaids, all dolled up in pastel shades of pink, helped her with her getting bridal prep session. Their DC wedding photographer captured these moments with great skill. The soft glow emitting from the room gave off a romantic tone to the wedding photos.
Meghan’s bridesmaids dolled her up in a sweetheart-neckline gown with a ruffled full skirt and fastened her hair in a soft half-up style, a favorite of many brides.
Vincent too looked sharp in his dark US Navy uniform and provided a beautiful contrast with the soft colors of the bridal party.
Despite it being a rainy day, the couple did not let it dampen their spirits, as they channeled their inner artists and made their wedding photos into rainy day wedding inspiration. The formal outdoor portraits made use of umbrellas as props, and their photos looked glamorous and sublime as the couple was photographed near timeless landscapes and balconies.
Strong Mansion features many beautiful structures and is a prime location for any couple planning a spring wedding. Despite the rainy day, the wedding photos were beautiful, void of any harsh light and featured a hazy look that made the couple and the wedding party the center of attention.
We absolutely adore the tented reception held under the softly lit candles and string lights. They made the lovely spring inspired centerpieces pop, which added an element of cheer to the decorations.
The couple’s seating chart was both clever and inspired. They used small gold frames within a bigger frame to keep things organized and make their guests feel regal and welcome. They were soon sent off to their new life under a string of lights held up by their friends and family!
