Captivating Lavender Love: April And Derek’s Urban Chic Wedding In Chicago

The wedding day is one of the core memories for every couple. And when we saw the photos of April and Derek, we knew this day was not only special but celebrated by everyone present at the wedding venue. Tying the knot in an incredible fashion, this couple was full of beautiful smiles, and lovely gestures and had so much energy throughout the day. Our Chicago wedding photographer met the couple in the morning and spoke to them about the wedding photos and the kind of wedding photos they would want. Once that was clear, our photographer was more than happy to take on the day with the couple, as excited as they were to get the day started. April and Derek had decided to have all of their wedding events in one wedding venue. Our photographer not only took photos of this lovely couple but also took photos of the beautifully planned wedding decor and ideas. The moment we saw their amazing photos of the day, we knew that these two were meant for each other. It was easy to see that their wedding day was planned perfectly, down to the last detail and how much they wanted to spend their life together. 

 

Chicago, the Windy City, embraces visitors with its timeless allure, a mesmerizing blend of iconic architecture, cultural richness, and picturesque waterfronts. As day transitions into night, the city's lights come alive, casting a magical glow upon its splendor. Within its boundaries lies a world of enchantment, where love can blossom amidst the captivating charms of this metropolis. The heart of Chicago beats to the rhythm of its impressive skyline. Towering skyscrapers, such as the Willis Tower and the John Hancock Center, proudly pierce the heavens, painting a remarkable backdrop for love stories to unfold. As the sun sets, the city's buildings illuminate, creating a kaleidoscope of colors that drenches the surroundings in a dreamlike ambiance. A leisurely stroll along the Chicago Riverwalk is an essential romantic escapade. Hand in hand, lovers traverse the tranquil waterside, taking in the symphony of boat horns and the gentle lapping of waves. The riverwalk's enchanting atmosphere is complemented by the city's captivating bridges, each a testament to Chicago's architectural grandeur. For those seeking an ethereal escape, the Chicago Botanic Garden beckons with its resplendent beauty. Venturing to Navy Pier adds a touch of whimsy to the romance. The sight of the Ferris wheel's twinkling lights reflects in the eyes of lovers, as they share laughter and tender glances. To elevate the romance, a visit to the Art Institute of Chicago is an absolute must. Immerse yourselves in a treasure trove of art, from classic masterpieces to contemporary marvels. Hand in hand, you wander through the galleries, connecting with each artwork on a profound level, a mirror of the connection you share. Chicago's renowned culinary scene provides a delightful treat for the senses. A candlelit dinner at one of the city's top restaurants, savoring gourmet delicacies, creates an atmosphere of intimacy and indulgence. Sharing sweet glances and sipping fine wine, time seems to slow down, allowing you to savor every moment. As night descends, the city transforms into a dreamscape of lights and laughter. The Chicago skyline glimmers against the darkness, painting a captivating tableau for romance to thrive. A carriage ride along the Magnificent Mile or a dance under the moonlight at Millennium Park's Jay Pritzker Pavilion infuses the night with enchantment. For the day, the wedding venue was Loews Chicago O’Hare Hotel. Nestled amidst the vibrant cityscape, Loews Chicago O'Hare Hotel stands as an enchanting wedding venue and ceremony location, radiating elegance and sophistication. With its modern architectural design and chic ambiance, the hotel offers a captivating backdrop for couples to exchange vows and embark on a journey of everlasting love. The hotel's contemporary event spaces are meticulously crafted to create an atmosphere of romance and intimacy, with floor-to-ceiling windows that bathe the rooms in natural light. The versatile layout provides an array of possibilities for couples to customize their dream wedding, ensuring every detail aligns with their unique vision. As guests gather to witness the union, the allure of the cityscape and surrounding skyline adds an extra touch of magic to the ceremony. The breathtaking views create an ethereal setting, where the essence of love is celebrated amidst the urban splendor. The wedding theme for the day was pretty lavender and white. We saw the photos of the wedding day and saw the amazing similarities between the color theme and the decor the two had chosen for their day. There was something exceptionally magical about the photos and the day. 

 

Before the wedding ceremony, the couple decided to get dressed separately. Additionally, the two decided to have a first-look photo session. For the day, the groom and groomsmen were dressed in stylish dark gray three-piece suits as their amazing wedding outfits. And as accessories, the groom and groomsmen had decided to wear beautiful black bow ties and wristwatches. The bride for the day had decided on having beautiful satin getting-ready outfits. The satin getting-ready outfits were customized to have every bridesmaid’s name on the breast pocket. For the day, the bridesmaids had different colors! One bridesmaid had a red satin getting outfit, two had white satin outfits and two had deep green outfits. The bride’s beautiful wedding dress was from The Altar Bridal and had a beautiful look. The dress had lace details, a lovely illusion neckline, and a beautiful mermaid-like skirt. Before April began to get dressed for the day, she decided to take some awe-inspiring bridal portraits with her dress. As the bridesmaids and the maid of honor were getting dressed, our bride-to-be posed with her bridal dress before the wedding ceremony. The beautiful rooms of the hotel were the perfect backdrop for her bridal photos. After the bridesmaids were dressed, they began to help the beautiful bride to look her best for the day. For the wedding day, our bride, April, had decided to have a beautiful bridal hairstyle. Instead of keeping her naturally swept hair, she decided to have soft curls for the day. Her bridal makeup was soft as well. She decided to go ahead with dramatic eyes and had her wedding day look on point. As the bride was getting dressed for the day, our photographer took photos of the wedding details. 

 

Our wedding photographer took photos of their beautiful wedding stationery. The wedding invitation set was different from the wedding day theme. It was a beautiful deep green wedding stationery. However, the synchronicity in the wedding theme and the color was in the pretty pink floral additions to the wedding invite. To make the photo look even better use the amazing wedding rings and the brilliant engagement rings. Our photographer also took photos of the wedding rings in the ring box. The ring box was just as beautiful as the other wedding details, which were purple. And by the time our photographer was done taking photos of the details and ideas, our bride for the day was dressed. Our photographer took photos of the beautiful bride in her bridal outfit. As April was posing for stunning photos, the bride’s family came to see the bride. The bride’s family was absolutely thrilled to see the beautiful bride. Her wedding day look was complete with a hair accessory. With that, our bride, her bridesmaids, and the cute flower girls were dressed and they posed for a few portraits before April tied the knot. 

 

As she stepped out of the dressing room, our photographer also took photos of April with her beautiful wedding bouquet. The arrangements of the bouquet were similar to the beautiful wedding theme. The bouquet was made with white flowers and lavender roses. To make the bridal bouquet look even better, the bridal bouquet also had lovely bouquet fillers and greenery. The greenery at the bottom of the wedding bouquet was hand-tied. The bridesmaids’ outfits were in lighter shades of lavender. Just like that, the girls were dressed and ready to make their way to their wedding ceremony! The indoor wedding ceremony was decorated with beautiful white and lavender details. The ceremony spot had a white wedding arbor. The wedding arbor is decorated with floral details. The big decor ideas were similar in style to her bridal bouquet. It had white, red, and pink floral additions, along with big green leaves and ferns. To make the altar look amazing, the arbor was flanked with similar floral arrangements. The wedding ceremony entrance was decorated with a lovely entrance sign. The beautiful welcome sign was minimal and had slanting lettering. The welcome signage had floral details on the edges too. Before the couple made their way to the wedding ceremony, they met at the decided spot for their first look photo session. Derek had his back turned, and April stood right behind him, smiling. And then she lightly tapped his shoulder, and he turned slowly. Looking at her, Derek was taken aback and simile flabbergasted at the beauty of his soon-to-be-wife. Then, he hugged, and the emotion behind that hug seeped out of the photo. Before the two made their way to their wedding ceremony, they posed for a few photos together, to remember the moment. And right before they made their way to the ceremony, they posed for a photo where they kissed for an amazing photo of the day.

 

April made her wedding ceremony entrance in style. Arm in arm with her father, she walked down the aisle. Derek was waiting for the love of his life at the altar. The wedding officiator was waiting for these two to stand side by side and tie the knot together. Soft, and small steps, April slowly glided down the aisle and stepped up the altar to take her wedding vows with the love of her life. The bridesmaids and the groomsmen stood near the altar, looking at these two lovebirds. As the wedding ceremony continued, the wedding guests looked on, with smiles on their faces, and clapped as the two sealed their wedding day with a kiss. Once they were married, the couple walked down the aisle together. The groomsmen and the bridesmaids stood behind them, smiling and clapping. Our wedding photographer took the right after the wedding ceremony photos, where April lifted her wedding bouquet in the air as she walked down the aisle, this time with her soulmate. And when the couple saw our photographer take photos of the day, the lovely couple took the moment to softly kiss each other. Right after the wedding ceremony, these two decided to have their wedding photos! 

 

As the wedding ceremony ended, our photographer helped the two take amazing photos. Our photographer placed the two in different photo poses so that they could capture the beautiful wedding venue’s offerings. Our photographer also had the two pose with those who they were close with, their groomsmen and bridesmaids. Our photographer took photos of the bride with her bridesmaids. April took the time to pose with every one of his best girls and enjoyed smiling for photos! Our photographer also captured the beautiful background of the wedding venue. Then our Chicago photographer took photos of the couple with their beautiful families. They took turns to pose with their families and then they took a group photo to remember their amazing day. And as it was almost time for the wedding reception party, our photographer also took photos of the couple. This time our photographer helped the two pose for mesmerizing photos. From posed photos to beautiful candid photos, it was easy to see the romance between them. Our beautiful couple for the day posed for romantic photos, where Derek kissed April’s forehead. And then, they had a few photos where the two simply looked into each other, and were smiling. To make their photos even better, they took photos where Derek even lifted her wedding dress train for a photo.

 

As the wedding day continued on, our photographer captured the wonderful wedding reception entry! Happy and pumping their hands in the air, the couple was exceptionally happy. And just like that, they took the dance floor and had their first dance for the day! And then they took chances to dance with their family members. As the day continued on, the couple opened the dance floor for the wedding guests. As the wedding reception party went on in full swing, our photographer took photos of the wedding reception details. The couple had decided to keep a table with escort cards. The escort cards were floral-themed. The wedding table centerpieces were lovely flowers, similar to April's wedding bouquet. Before the cake-cutting ceremony, our photographer took photos of the sweetheart table and the couple. The sweetheart table was placed right under the indoor wedding arbor and was decorated with lander flowers and candles. Our photographer also took photos of the two as they enjoyed champagne. And just like that, our photographer took photos of the stunning wedding cake! The cake was a beautiful white cake with four tiers. The cake had lovely golden embellishments, which made the wedding cake look amazing. To this, the couple had decided to have a few lavender bows. This beautiful couple decided to cut the cake surrounded by their wedding guests. And just like that, the two were almost done with their celebrations. Our photographer captured the photos of the couple, and took photos of their wedding guests and of the grand wedding exit. As our photographer bid the two goodbyes, they knew that April and Derek were meant to be together.
