A Summer Wedding in New York at Mountain View Manor
June, 18 2020
The summer of 2019 saw the love between Brittney and Kevin bloom like never before as they became one at the Mountain View Manor, New York. Located in a quaint little hamlet, Glen Spey, Mountain View Manor is a beautiful wedding venue and a favorite of many newly engaged couples of New York and its suburbs.
This New York suburb wedding venue was a perfect host to Brittany and Kevin’s union with its gorgeous ballroom and 165-acres lush gardens. While the summer soiree began with a classic wedding ceremony at the St. Volodymyr Ukrainian Catholic Church, located in Glen Spey, just a minute away from the wedding venue, Mountain View Manor.
The historic church boasts an architecture which is an amalgamation of Eastern and European architecture and is fondly called ‘Little Ukraine’ by the Ukrainians living in the community due to a close resemblance with their homeland’s architecture. The church was designed by a Ukrainian architect, Apollinare Osadca, bearing similarities of churches in Ukraine with oil paintings, grand wooden chandeliers, Iconostasis, and hand-carved moldings.
The day began with a spectacular getting-ready photoshoot, with every little detail being captured by our New York wedding photographers. The bridal gown was hung by the window and was surrounded by the bridesmaids’ dresses. It made a perfect shot with sunlight peeking from behind, just with enough subtlety. We absolutely loved the softness of the getting-ready room and the light coming through the window. It added a magnificent glow to everything it touched, like the garbs and the accessories. Love shone a lot brighter than the day on Brittany’s face as she glowed with angelic beauty being dressed in white, while the natural sunlight enhanced her charm. We totally loved the private emotional moment she had with her mother as she got dressed as a bride. These little emotional moments speak a million words in the world of wedding photography.
Brittany looked ethereal in a beautiful white wedding gown with a knee-high slit and flowy sheer cape. A sparkling white pair of shoes added more glamor to her bridal look. We absolutely loved the boho-feel that her beaded headpiece added, and coupled with the soft curls - she looked magical! Her bridal bouquet was brimming with pastel yellows, from the darkest to the lightest, and was brilliantly complimenting the vibrance of the season.
Kevin looked every bit of dashing in a yale blue suit with a contrasting yellow and green boutonniere and a white bow-tie. His wedding day style was concluded by tan-colored shoes. The pre-wedding ceremony photoshoot captured all the butterflies and excitement on their faces flawlessly.
The bridesmaids were looking stunning in different hues of yellow, perfect for a spring-summer wedding. The groomsmen, on the other hand, looked dapper, dressed in contrasting yale blue suits and tan-colored shoes, similar to the groom. However, unlike Kevin, they sported deep blue-colored bow-ties.
The bridal party gathered for the wedding ceremony in the church. The rusticity of the wooden-framed church was complemented by a perfect wooden welcome sign bearing a nature-inspired look with green foliage and a summery bloom.
As Brittany walked down the aisle with her father, the moment looked enchanting, with the sunlight falling from behind and wooden interiors of the church making the most perfect frame. As the bride and groom stood at the end of the aisle, a new beginning awaited them. Time stood still and it gave us an iconic New York wedding photography moment. The wooden chandelier lent its warm glow to the engaged couple standing underneath and everyone around them, making the wedding ceremony photoshoot look angelic! The wooden interiors of the rustic church set the most beautiful backdrop for a traditional New York wedding.
After the wedding ceremony, the newlywed couple had a great wedding exit as their bridal party tossed rice on them, which is a traditional way of celebrating the conclusion of a wedding ceremony. After the exit, the bride and groom obliged our New York wedding photographers by posing with the bridal party with the church in the backdrop. We loved the look of these photos as they brilliantly captured love, friendship, and the significance of the wedding day perfectly displayed by the church! The candid shots at weddings are believed to spell celebrations in unparalleled ways and so did theirs, as the entire bridal party proceeded towards the wedding venue. The light giggles, the blushes, and the heavenly smiles were all captured by our wedding photographers immaculately.
We absolutely loved how our artistic team of wedding photographers in New York made the most of the vibrance in the air. The bridesmaids’ dresses were everything summer and resonated with the vibes of a summer-wedding all the way. And the little one’s wedding look totally stole our hearts! The bridesmaids’ bouquets were beautifully complementing the summer vibes and their dresses in a combination of yellows and whites. Cape was the flavor of the day as the bride and bridesmaids sported gorgeous looking capes and shrugs over their dresses. We are still swooning over their synced hairclips which added a glamorous touch to the bridesmaids’ wedding style. On the way to the Mountain View Manor, the bridal party halted for a couple of wedding portraits. The rustic yet verdant trees in the backdrop that lined the road added color to the wedding photos in various earthy tones and bright hues of greens.
As everyone reached the wedding venue, a mesmerizing landscape welcomed them. 165 acres of lush green landscape studded with rustic woods made great backdrops for wedding portraits. Our New York wedding photographers did not let go of this moment. As the wedding guests made their way to the wedding venue, our wedding photographers in New York captured some swoon-worthy portraits of the bride and groom with their tribes, the groomsmen and the bridesmaids. The tall trees of the nearby woods and the flawlessly manicured lush lawns on the property played ideal backdrops and made sure that Brittany and Kevin’s wedding photography turned out amazing! The whole tribe was impeccably complementing each other with their contrasting colors.
The wedding day continued at the wedding venue, Mountain View Manor, which was built at the turn of the twentieth century and boasts Victorian-style architecture. Snuggled between the Hudson and Delaware Valley region of New York, this historic Ardmore Mansion can accommodate up to 200 guests. It’s conveniently accessible via Interstate 84 and houses various event spaces to choose from. Along with the mansion, it comprises two huge decks, three bars, and a gorgeously rustic dining room, along with an elegant ballroom. The place also has an outdoor wedding ceremony space for an on-site wedding ceremony, along with guest rooms on upper levels. Brittany and Kevin’s cocktail hour and after-party were held in the ballroom, while their reception was held in the gorgeous barn-rustic style mansion.
As the wedding party got set for cocktail and reception, we loved every little detail of the decor. Right from the welcome sign, which was rustic and carried a brilliantly personalized look. The wedding reception decor was nature-inspired and beautifully brought the outsides in. The centerpieces looked whimsical with foliage and florals in hints of green, whites, and yellows. We loved the details in whites at this Mountain View Manor wedding, as they added an element of grace and class to the decor. The sweetheart table carried an eco-friendly feel with a dash of greens in the form of a lush eucalyptus arrangement. The presence of greens and pastel yellows amidst neat chairs and tables covered in white linen, surrounded by white drapes all around made for gorgeous summer wedding decor.
After the cocktails, the newlywed couple headed for the reception in the ballroom, where all the guests greeted them with utmost joy! We love the celebratory vibes that encompass weddings. So cheerful, lively, and unmatched. The happiness and love were brilliantly captured by our New York wedding photographers. Soon, the newlyweds took to the dance floor and it was a treat for the eyes! A couple basking in the newfound glory of marital bliss is one of the most romantic things in the entire world. The duo danced to a beautifully curated list of wedding music while their loved ones cheered and looked on, with hearts in their eyes!
We absolutely loved the elegant wedding details that the bride and groom put together after months of planning this wedding. The naked caked was our favorite as it looked chic, intimate, and in sync with nature. The floral and eucalyptus arrangements on the cake took our breath away. Again, the yellow-white-green theme ruled the wedding cake design and how we loved it!
The bride and groom indulged in some romantic couple wedding portraits outdoors and the photos turned out stunning. They took us back to those days when fairytales must have been the real things, with the prince and princess being lost in a state of happiness that arose out of love and just being together. We loved how the lovely duo was captured against the woods, giving the photos a whimsical effect. The smiles, the eye contacts, and little giggles comprised all the wedding shenanigans that are only privy to the bride and groom and the photos are theirs to take a walk down the memory lane whenever they want to.
Brittany and Kevin’s candid photos with their loved ones were the flavor of the evening as love was evident in the celebratory moments. We also loved how our New York wedding photographers captured the love between the bride and her father. From the portraits at the porch to the candid photos as the two danced together, Brittany and her father conveyed everything that’s love between a father and a daughter. The expressions say it all.
Mountain View Manor is great for weddings and wedding photography. The two had a great time posing for romantic portraits all day, be it right after the wedding ceremony, or the driveway that is surrounded by gorgeous tall trees. Among other photogenic locations at the Mountain View Manor are the staircase and the nearby woods. The lawns were great for their first look with tall trees and lush green landscape providing the most serene backdrop as the bride and groom looked at each for the first time on their wedding day. The woods were lush with tall trees offering some of the most mystical surroundings for wedding portraits. While the eucalyptus trees offered plenty of vibrance in the backdrop, the tall rustic grass ensured privacy for intimate time, away from the guests and party.
The magnificent sights of the Pocono Mountains in the distance provide spectacular backdrops for timeless wedding portraits. Mountain View Manor is a New York wedding venue that is close to many other photogenic locations that are situated nearby. There are plenty of attractions in the proximity where couples can hop to for some pre-wedding photoshoot, their first look, or post-wedding photography. The entire area is home to photogenic spots like a winery, a state park, waterfalls, hiking trails, and the famous Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area.
Brittany and Kevin’s summer soiree was perfect in every way. It had all the elements of a warm summer combined with the myriad moods of a love story that made their transition into the marital world memorable. So many months and countless efforts went into planning a wedding that started right from the moment they decided on their wedding invites.
